Nonviolent Communication in Action
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a conflict prevention method that focuses on learning how to express one’s needs and feelings without blame or judgment and to listen empathically. Studying and practicing NVC reframes limited perceptions and ingrained behavior patterns by establishing greater respect and understanding. The presentation will be a review of the key NVC principles with lecture, entertaining exercises and Q & A. We are working to show the effectiveness of NVC to support parents and educators in creating a safe space for children of all ages.
